Keith Haring inspired art

2nd grade just finished artwork inspired by the artist, Keith Haring.  We looked at his artwork and made figures in motion like Haring did.

Color Wheel Birds

Look at 1st grade's color wheel birds!  We learned about primary and secondary colors.  Then, we made birds out of our painted circles.  :)

Abstract Line Art

  3rd grade just finished their first project of the year! They made an abstract line drawing, focusing on lines and patterns.  They turned out great and were SO colorful! :)

Abstract Shape Art

5th grade just completed their first project of the year!  We made abstract art out of shapes.  We talked about organic and geometric shapes and also talked about positive and negative space.  They turned out really great.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school! I  can't wait to begin art at Sharon this year.  I have so many projects that I think the students will love.  Let's have a great year in 2013-2014!
