3rd grade recently finished a painting and drawing with Indiana's state bird, the Cardinal. They used many materials to complete this project, such as watercolor paints, tempera paints, oil pastels, and crayons. They turned out great!
5th grade worked on drawing things from real life. We talked about focusing on the lines and shapes they saw, instead of trying to draw the objects from memory. They had an object at each table and had a certain amount of time to draw each object, then rotated tables to draw different objects.
First grade recently completed water lilies inspired by the artist, Claude Monet. We learned about Monet and his style of art, then created our own artwork that was in a similar style.
